Search for a particular term or phrase in the catalog records describing books, manuscripts, or images digitized by the Open Collections Program. These catalog records can also be found in the HOLLIS (Harvard Online Library Information System) or VIA (Visual Information Access) catalogs.
Full Text
This page allows you to search for a particular term or phrase in the full text (the
transcribed text of the entire book) of all of the digitized books in the collection.
To search the text of a single book, use the search button that is in the top right-hand corner of the screen when you are viewing the page images.
Please note that handwritten manuscripts have not been transcribed and are
not searchable from this page.
Searches on this page will return a list of links to pages that contain
the text you searched for, sorted by relevancy. For more information
on navigating and searching full text, see the Help page.
